So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27 ESV In Genesis, it says that humans were created in the image of God. It is the *only* piece of creation that God created in His image. Theoretically, then, we should be able to look at people and see God... But we all know that it's not that simple. Humans are made in the image of God, but we are exceptionally good at obfuscating and messing up His image. But still, we are still the only pieces of creation made in His image, so it's still theoretically possible. This seems unlikely because of how different the beliefs, cultures, values, and lives of everyone around us and across the world, but if we can see those differences, acknowledge them, and still see the similarities... The similarities are where we are going to see the image of God, imago dei. Tell us of something you have noticed exists among all cultures, all groups, and how you think it's in His image. Or not, because one thing we all have in common is our imperfection, which is not in His image. So let's discuss and hopefully find a better, more clear image of who God is through our fellow image bearers.
